Board of directorsBoard of directorsWilly Sansen - Independent Director & ChairmanWilly Sansen received a PhD degree from U.C.Berkeley in 1972. Since 1980 he has been full professor at the Catholic University of Leuven, in Belgium. From 1984 to 2008, he has headed the ESAT-MICAS laboratory on analog design, which has created six spinoffs in the last fifteen years. He has been supervisor of sixty-four PhD theses and has authored and coauthored more than 650 publications and fifteen books among which the Powerpoint slide based book "Analog Design Essentials" (Springer 2006) He is a member of several editorial and program committees of journals and conferences. He was Program chair of the ISSCC-2002 conference and President of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society in 2008-2009. He is the recipient of the D.O.Pederson award of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits in 2011. He is a Life Fellow of the IEEE. Roger De Keersmaecker - DirectorRoger De Keersmaecker is Senior Vice President Strategic Relations of IMEC and Vice Chairman of the Board of IMEC Taiwan Ltd Co. Roger obtained his MSEE (1971) and PhD (1977) degrees from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. He performed post-doctoral research at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in New York (1977-1979) and later at the University of Leuven (1979-1986). From 1984 onwards he was a member of the team that started the operations at the Interuniversity Microelectronics Center (IMEC), where he was named a group leader with responsibility for all R&D on state-of-the-art silicon process steps. In 1991 he obtained an MBA degree from the University of Leuven. He was the Project Leader for a suite of European R&D projects (ESPRIT) and a member of the JESSI Equipment and Materials Board. From 1997 onwards he was on a temporary assignment to Flanders' Government Office for Foreign Investments, after which he returned to IMEC to take up his current responsibility. Roger is active in various councils and committees in European programs and in the organizing or executive committee of various international conferences. He is an Adjunct Professor at KU Leuven, has (co-)authored approx. 130 publications and conference contributions and is the co-author of a book on the Si-SiO2 system. Luc Kindt - Independent DirectorLuc Kindt is currently Managing Principal and CEO of the private equity group Leeward in Luxemburg, after having been for 6 years the Executive Board & Managing Partner of the venture capital and private equity QAT group, also in Luxemburg. Prior to his engagements in the private equity world, Luc has been a Group Senior Vice President of Barco NV, where he has held several positions, among others, President Global Sales & Services and CEO of Barco Projection Systems. Luc is an independent board member and advisor in various high-tech companies, is a member of IMEC's Scientific Advisory Board, is an advisor for eHealth to Agoria and is Chairman of the Board of the RVO Society Foundation. Luc holds a Master in Electronics Engineering from the University of Leuven, Belgium and an MBA from the Vlerick Management School of Ghent, Belgium. Stefan Gogaert - Executive DirectorAs AnSem's Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Finance Officer, Stefan takes responsibility for strategic alliances, Finance, HR and ICT. He is also involved in setting up collaborative research projects with other companies and research institutes. After his graduation, Stefan joined the group of Prof. Willy Sansen at the University of Leuven, Belgium, to conduct research on portable wireless EMG measuring systems and on integrated circuits for high-speed data communication. In 1998 he co-founded AnSem and served as AnSem's CEO for 13 years. Stefan grew the company successfully to a well established design service company with customers worldwide. Stefan Gogaert holds a Master in Electrical Engineering and a Postgraduate in Biomedical Engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium and is a member of the board of DSP Valley. Jan Crols - Executive DirectorIn 1998, Jan co-founded AnSem, where he is currently active as its Chief Technology Officer. In this function he has overall technical responsibility for all developments in the area of wireless and wired data transmissions, data acquisition and ultra low power designs, implemented in CMOS technologies ranging from 0.35 µm to 40 nm. Jan has published 30 articles in international scientific journals and 1 book. He is a member of the ESSCIRC & ISSCC technical program committees. Jan has been awarded the 1995 IEEE Solid-State Circuits Council Pre-doctoral Fellowship and the 1999 IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Guilleman-Cauer Award. Jan has extensive experience in project management in all the fields in which AnSem is active. Jan holds a PhD in electrical engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. |
