Management teamManagement teamDirk Logie, Chief Executive OfficerDirk has over 25 years of international experience in the semiconductor industry, holding senior management positions in large and small semiconductor companies. Dirk is responsible for the daily operations at AnSem. Prior to joining AnSem, Dirk established in 2004 Chipidea Semiconductors in Leuven, Belgium where he served as President & CEO until it was sold to MIPS Technologies inc. in 2007. Dirk successfully led the company through the first challenging years of its existence, organized funding for the company, set the general strategic direction and managed the development of the company's mixed-signal flagship product. Before Chipidea Semiconductors, Dirk had served as vice president at Philips Semiconductors in the Netherlands (nowadays known as NXP Semiconductors), where he managed the company's highly successful system power management chip business. Prior, during a 3-year tenure in California (1997-2000), Dirk managed Philips Semiconductors' then newly formed Digital TV group and build with his team the very first ATSC HD digital TV receiver chip. Dirk holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leuven, Belgium. Jan Crols, Co-founder & Chief Technology OfficerIn 1998, Jan co-founded AnSem, where he is currently active as its Chief Technology Officer. In this function he has overall technical responsibility for all developments in the area of wireless and wired data transmissions, data acquisition and ultra low power designs, implemented in CMOS technologies ranging from 0.35 µm to 40 nm. Jan has published 30 articles in international scientific journals and 1 book. He is a member of the ESSCIRC & ISSCC technical program committees. Jan has been awarded the 1995 IEEE Solid-State Circuits Council Pre-doctoral Fellowship and the 1999 IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Guilleman-Cauer Award. Jan has extensive experience in project management in all the fields in which AnSem is active. Jan holds a PhD in electrical engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. Stefan Gogaert, Co-founder, Chief Strategy Officer & Chief Financial OfficerAs AnSem's Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Finance Officer, Stefan takes responsibility for strategic alliances, Finance, HR and ICT. He is also involved in setting up collaborative research projects with other companies and research institutes. After his graduation, Stefan joined the group of Prof. Willy Sansen at the University of Leuven, Belgium, to conduct research on portable wireless EMG measuring systems and on integrated circuits for high-speed data communication. In 1998 he co-founded AnSem and served as AnSem's CEO for 13 years. Stefan grew the company successfully to a well established design service company with customers worldwide. Stefan Gogaert holds a Master in Electrical Engineering and a Postgraduate in Biomedical Engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium and is a member of the board of DSP Valley. Stephen Ellwood, VP EngineeringStephen has over 25 years of experience in the high tech and semiconductor industries with more than 12 years at senior management level. Stephen is responsible for the daily engineering activities, overseeing all ASIC developments, managing subcontractors, extending the design team expertise and charting the companies design strategies. Stephen has held various engineering and engineering management positions at companies like LSI Logic, Alcatel-Lucent and Virata, and more recently as VP Engineering in a number of semiconductor start ups, bringing disruptive, groundbreaking technologies to market. Stephen holds a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Portsmouth, UK and a MBA in International Management from the Vlerick Management School in Belgium. Stephen also holds several patents. |
