Heverlee, Belgium, April 26, 2007 – at its Annual General Meeting held on the 17th April, AnSem NV, the fabless analog and mixed-signal IC design house, announced total revenue of 3.9 M Euros.  This result represents an increase of 35% on the previous fiscal year, and brings AnSem’s record of continuous profitability to a total of nine successive years.

The strong growth in revenue is attributed to AnSem’s focused development of key customers in the medical and home networking markets combined with the company’s policy of investing in a highly skilled design team, along with the good economic conditions.

“2006 has been an exceptional year for AnSem,” said Stefan Gogaert, CEO of AnSem. “The additional resources we have put into sales and marketing, along with the good economic conditions, have led to new customers and also new project developments with existing customers.“

Commenting on AnSem’s future strategy, Stefan Gogaert added:  “We will continue to deliver state of the art IC design services and continue to invest in advanced IP developments for low-cost wireless communication systems and high-speed A/D & D/A converters.  We will also continue our research and development into the field of low-cost personal wireless communication chips. During 2006, we invested in software and education for employees in mixed-signal mixed-mode simulations.  This investment now allows AnSem to act as a total system-on-chip solution provider for its customers’ next generation products and enables us to create added value—a value that is appreciated by our customers. During 2007, we expect to reap the benefits of this investment. “
