AnSem successfully participated in MedTec, Europe's leading medical technology trade fair

In March, AnSem participated in the 2nd edition of DesignMed Europe which took place in Stuttgart, Germany. AnSem's participation in DesignMed Europe underlined the company's commitment to support the emerging e-healthcare market with its Analog ASIC strategy.

AnSem highlighted its Analog ASIC expertise in high precision analog circuit design, power management, wireless energy transfer and data communication.

The eye catcher at AnSem's booth was customer Sensimed's TriggerFish, a contact lens with a built in ASIC to monitor intraocular pressure continuously up to 24 hours.

AnSem developed the battery-less Analog ASIC, which combines MEMS read-out circuitry with a wireless link for data communication. The ASIC itself is powered through magnetic induction. AnSem manages the complete ASIC life cycle for Sensimed, including supply chain management for volume production. Analog ASIC solutions for patient monitoring and for implantable electronics were in high demand at AnSem's booth.

MedTec Europe 2012 registered around 14.000 trade visitors.

DesignMed, a special section dedicated to advanced electronics and microsystems, was part of MedTec 2012, the leading technology exhibition in Europe exclusively focusing on the medical market. Nearly 17,000 square meters were occupied by 1,017 exhibitors in four halls of the Stuttgart exhibition centre. Exhibitors showed innovative technology platforms and subsystems for medical equipment. Products were ranging from a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, control, plastic, connection and packaging technology to clean-room issues, rapid prototyping and the increasingly important microelectronics.
